RESUMEN: En el presente trabajo se analiza la estructura formal y tipográfica
del primer impreso del taller jesuita establecido en el
Colegio de Montserrat en Córdoba, Argentina. El objetivo del
trabajo es mostrar las características materiales de dicha obra,
uno de los antecedentes más antiguos de las artes gráficas argentinas
y muestra indiscutible del patrimonio bibliográfico y
visual de ese país. Esta información, cotejada con la de diversas
fuentes secundarias permitirá en un futuro establecer comparaciones
con los productos visuales de otras imprentas jesuitas
de América, como las de México y Puebla. El libro analizado
es muestra palpable de los usos que dicha orden religiosa hizo
de la imprenta no sólo en la difusión de ideas religiosas sino
también como medio auxiliar en sus labores educativas

ABSTRACT: This paper analyzes of formal and typographic structure of the first work of the Jesuit printing workshop at the College
of Montserrat in Cordoba, Argentina. Its main aim is the material analysis of this book, showing its specific characteristics,
a work considered one of the oldest examples of graphic arts and Argentinian printing history and undisputed example of
Argentinian bibliographical and visual heritage. This information is also collated with that of secondary sources will allow for
future comparisons with the printed products of other Jesuit printing shops in America, such as those in Mexico and Puebla. That book is tangible proof of the uses The Jesuits made of printing, not only in the dissemination of religious ideas but also as an aid in their educational activities.
